Perea Announces Launch of Twitter Application

Fresno, CA (September 17, 2009) Councilmember Henry T. Perea is pleased to announce the launch of a new City of Fresno Twitter account. The new account, www.twitter.com/621CITY, will be administered by the One Call Center and will be used for inquires, notifications and request from the public. The idea of a customer service oriented City of Fresno twitter account was proposed to the City Council by Councilmember Perea in July as a low cost way of improving communication between the City and residents of Fresno. Perea is excited to see what kind of information will be exchanged with this account and would like to encourage the residents of Fresno to try it out.
