Perea Calls on State Legislature to Present Water Reform Package

Fresno, CA (October 8, 2009) Councilmember Henry T. Perea urges the State Legislature to present Governor Schwarzenegger with a comprehensive water reform package that will protect the current and future needs of all Californians and address issues such as storage and conveyance. Water reform is a crucial issue to our entire State and a matter of economic survival to the agricultural industries of the Central Valley and Fresno.

“My home is currently in the middle of an extremely serious drought that can no longer be ignored. The entire State of California is in desperate need of a water package and I am calling our State Representatives to act in the best interest of their constituents by making fair, balanced and sustainable water reform their top priority.”
