Perea and Valley Leaders in Sacramento to Urge Closure on Water Issue

Fresno, CA (October 9, 2009) Councilmember Henry T. Perea will travel to Sacramento today with the California Latino Water Coalition to speak on the east steps of the Capitol at 2:30PM about water issues facing California. The Councilmember will be joined by the Governor, elected officials, water, labor, farm workers, business and agricultural leaders and coalition Chairman Paul Rodriguez to advocate for new water policy. Drought and water management issues have plagued California and Councimember Perea hopes that focusing attention on the issue, the legislature will be able to come up with a new water policy that is sustainable, progressive and humane.
