ASR & Sports - PARCS
After School Recreation & Sports
The Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services Department (PARCS) is the largest after school program provider in the greater Fresno area. After School recreation (ASR) is a structured non-fee based program that is offered at 17 sites
during the hours of 2:00pm - 6:00pm depending on the school's schedule.
ASR plays a critical role in keeping children safe, reducing juvenile crime, increasing academic performance and school attendance. ASR provides a supervised venue where children have the opportunity to learn and develop a healthy, productive lifestyle.
After School and Education Safety (ASES) Program: The Collaborative Program allows our staff to focus on the types of activities that "we do best." Through a rotational basis the students in the collaborative program can experience activities like art concepts, nutritional education, leadership training, sports and fitness.

Youth Sports
Various sports programs are offered throughout to the community for youth that include bitty baseball and karate, youth basketball and soccer, and aquatics.
The Adult Sports Program is a year-round fee-based men’s and women’s organized sports league offered to residents. Leagues include baseball, softball, basketball, flag football and soccer. Many of our programs take place at the Regional Sports Complex on 1707 W. Jensen. Call (559) 621-PLAY for more information.
