THE LAND ACQUISITION PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY NOT OPERATIONAL.  NO NEW PROPERTIES ARE BEING CONSIDERED FOR PURCHASE.

The Housing and Community Development Division is very interested in purchasing vacant parcels for the purpose of constructing new affordable high quality infill single-family housing. New housing construction in some of Fresno’s older areas enhances the appearance of the block and overall neighborhood. It also demonstrates the positive aspects of the City’s revitalization efforts.

Although the Division routinely mails letters-of-interest to selected property owners regarding the possible sale of their property to the City of Fresno, the Division encourages interested sellers to contact the Housing and Community Development Division.

If the Housing and Community Development Division offers to purchase your vacant parcel, the City may pay up to the appraised value, and as an added incentive, may pay the seller’s closing costs with the exception of broker fees.
