Information for Water Waste Complaints
WATER WASTE MONITORING
Is your property being flooded by a neighbor? Call the Conservation Hotline, if you observe over-watering. We will send someone to investigate, and you can remain anonymous.
We make every effort to respond soon after your call, but all calls are prioritized according to urgency and safety situations. When a representative arrives at the location, if they do not observe flooding, they may send a courtesy letter to the customer with a reminder about the watering rules. To make efficient use of limited field staff, please provide as much information as possible about the water waste.
Location: The exact ADDRESS, along with major cross streets is best. If the address is unknown, provide us with as much location information as possible.
Date and Time: Date and time water waste was observed. It is easier to monitor for over-watering when approximate days and times waste usually occurs are known.
What was observed: What did you observe? Examples: Was water flooding in the gutter? Approximately how long had it been running? Was the over-watering from irrigation, an open hose, a broken sprinkler?
Over-watering history: If you have observed over-watering at this location in the past, please provide that information also.
